Morello has designed and constructed a die transfer cart for transporting automotive dies of up to 50 tons.
This die transfer cart has a top speed of 6 km/h, for which reason the operator can drive it from the onboard control stations.
There are 4 different control stations (which are interlocked), so that the operator can guide the cart always with the best visibility possible, even when driving in reverse.
Each control station is provided with a steering wheel, a joystick for speed control, an led screen indicating the direction of the wheels, an emergency button and a deadman’s pedal.
The loading bed of the die transfer cart is equipped with hardwood boards to avoid damage to the surface of the dies.
It is provided with two axle lines, both steering, to reduce the steering radius as much as possible and to allow the possibility of travel in even the tightest of spaces.
The battery life of this die transfer cart is very high – it can work continuously up to 8 hours.
The cart comes with hydraulic brakes to guarantee reduced braking times even when at full load and top speed.
To operate in safety, it is equipped with 2 flashing lights and 2 blue spots that direct a beam of light on the ground several meters ahead of the cart – very helpful for warning workers of the arrival of the die transfer cart.
As with all Morello machines, complete customization is possible based on customer needs.
