Morello has designed and constructed a high capacity AGV for a company that manufactures large electric motors.
This is an automatic cart suitable for moving loads up to 40 tons!
This high capacity AGV uses colored guide tape tracking technology for its automatic navigation. This AGV, using sensors mounted onboard, can follow in completely automatic fashion a course defined by colored tape (adhesive or painted tape), both straight and curved.
The benefit of this AGV technology is that it allows for maximum flexibility making it possible to change the course of the AGV cart at any time, without need of any hardware or software modification on the cart or in the plant.
This high capacity AGV is also equipped with a skid positioned under the cart itself that allows it to recharge the battery automatically without cables or plugs. To start recharging all that is necessary is to position the cart (through AGV guidance) over the corresponding skid on the ground.
Our special high capacity AGV is bidirectional and can steer in extremely tight spaces since it steers with both axle lines.
When needed, this cart can also be used in manual mode using a switch on the radio control or on the control panel.
