Morello armored vehicle lifting systems are used by military groups around the world to service their vehicles in workshops where it would otherwise be impossible to lift such heavy machinery.

Morello is the owner of the know-how underpinning this technology, which has rapidly spread thanks to its high versatility. Despite being able to lift and support such large loads, it is still a portable system requiring only a single operator to work. Iveco Defence Vehicles supplies the system together with the sale of many of its vehicles including the Superav – Amphibious Armored Vehicle, the Centaur – Armored Fighting Vehicle, the VBM Freccia, the Dardo IFV and the VBTP – amphibious armored vehicle, and the Ariete.

The system consists of four telescopic cylinders controlled by a special hydraulic control unit, able to lift vehicles weighing up to 80 tons (176,000 pounds). Once the armored vehicle has been lifted, the four fixed supports forming part of the system can be inserted underneath. The cylinders, the control unit and the supports are fitted with wheels, allowing ease of handling by a single operator.
